Projects in Hive

Each task created in Hive projects is fully self-contained and can only be viewed by the project members. In this way, you can share a workspace but protect certain sensitive information or make sure that information does not distract others which are irrelevant to them.

Here Is How:

Click the Project Navigator

This button takes you to the page where you can control all your projects.

Click the "+New Project" button.

As soon as you arrive at the Project Navigator, you can click the blue button in the upper left corner of the screen that says " + new project."

Add a project name and key details.

Give your project a name and choose a color you want to associate with your project. You can also add a start and due date, labels, a description, attachments, a parent project, or a phase.

Add team members

The team members you choose for your project are the ONLY ones who can view it. It hides all the tasks in the project to anyone who is not a team member. Therefore, it is essential to consider who you want to invite to the project. Each project has three options:

Everyone in the workspace
Specific people in the workspace
Only for you :)

Decide whether to include the messaging group.

Sometimes you want a place where you can chat with the team about the project or brainstorm ideas. If this is the case for your project, choose the checkmark to create a messaging group.

Choose a project layout (you can change it later)

There are six ways to view your project:

Status view - actions move across the board through various stages (e.g. unstarted -> in progress -> completed)
Team view - all actions are organized in lists by the person they are assigned to
Calendar view - check action by the deadline and in the long term
Label view - actions are organized in lists by label
Gantt view - a chart that shows all your actions in a series of horizontal lines representing the timeline they will be completed.
Table view - a list of your actions with columns organizing action and project information

Hit create and add actions to your new project!

It is as simple as typing what you want to do and pressing Enter.

Each Action Card in your project shows the name of the project. When you click on the drop-down, you can switch the action project.

If you want to edit or view your project information, choose "Home" to view and edit project members and update essential project details, including status, custom fields, description, and attachments. Select the "More" button at the top right of your screen and click on the "Edit Project." It opens the project mode to allow flexible updates to your project.
