Pay Dates & Taxes

Direct deposit every two weeks on Friday mornings. If you start on the second week of a pay period, you won’t receive your first paycheck until your third Friday of employment.
Gusto is our HR vendor and they keep all records you need for pay stubs, taxes, W-2s, etc. You can always access them from your account anytime, including if you are no longer with the company.
Note that if you live outside the state of Indiana, you are responsible for paying any local taxes due as a remote worker. Check to see what portion of income your area collects. It's best to set aside at least 2–3% of your income in a savings account to cover any local taxes come tax filing time.

Working Times

We ask that the bulk of hours are worked between 8am and 6pm EST in order to facilitate communication between the team and clients. However, your time is your own and you are primarily responsible for completing all of your work, so you have the flexibility to set your own schedule on a daily basis.
If you will be unavailable for two hours or less due to things like a doctor’s appointment, you do not need to inform anyone, simply manage your time appropriately to get all your work done during the day. If you plan to be gone for a half-day or more, inform your direct line supervisor and get approval first.
You may move days around. For example, we do not receive days off for Labor Day or Memorial Day, but you may opt to work four 10-hour days during that week and take an extra day off. This must be approved by your supervisor before finalizing plans (note that for any staff residing in California, this unfortunately does not apply due to state regulations).

Personal Time Off (PTO) Days

PTO Days start accruing from the day you start and are prorated based on your start day in the year. For example, if you start in June, you will be able to take half of your total vacation days as provided in your Offer Letter. Full vacation days will become available as of January 1 the following year.
You may take vacation days in advance, even if not accrued yet, as long as you have written permission from your direct supervisor to do so. Paid time off must be taken before unpaid.
We don't specify paid holidays as they are added into PTO time. Our team comes from a variety of backgrounds. Some people want Christmas or Thanksgiving off and others want Eid al Fitr, Tomb Sweeping Day, or Kwanzaa. Because we respect the diversity of our team, we do not mandate holidays the team must take off, instead allowing them to choose what's important to them. They simply need to inform their direct supervisor in writing at least 2 weeks in advance. For each year worked, your total PTO time increases by 2 days with a maximum of 25 days PTO.

Other Benefits

401K: You will have the option to opt in to our 401K plan after 6 months of employment.
Healthcare: You have a couple plan options to choose from with different deductibles, premiums, and co-insurance amounts. You can choose the one that works best for you. Healthcare starts on the 1st of the month after your first month of work with us.
