We place two different types of pages on the website, both of which have the ultimate goal of ranking for "city + keyword combinations" (tampa addiction treatment).

In this first video, we will take a look at what makes up a great location landing page. Location pages are pages that represent a location where we have an actual facility. As such, our location page language will reflect "treatment in CITY". That location page is what the "Website" button on a Google Business Profile links to. If you look closely in the lower left portion of the image below, you can see the Tampa location page with a tracking parameter after the URL.

One caveat is in the video where we have "Sober Activities in CITY" type content (around the 4:30 point in the video). Now we want industry relevant things in that section such as:

localized specific data
food banks
shelters
support groups
sober living
assistance programs
12 step groups
narcan dispensaries
prescription dropboxes
aa/na meetings
sober bars

Location Pages vs City Pages

Much like location pages, the goal of city pages is also to rank for local search terms. In fact, much of what was learned in the last video applies, especially the beginning about giving them the things they need to make a decision right out of the blocks.

The difference is big though; we don't have a facility in this city. Instead, the city we are writing for is close to a city we have a location in, generally less than 20 miles.

As a result, the language on a city page will reflect "treatment near CITY", rather than "treatment in CITY". The keywords that these pages will rank for won't bring us much traffic, but the intent is almost always transactional, meaning these are bottom of the funnel, money keywords. Clicks can become calls in a heartbeat.
