Why Use Google My Business Posting?

Google My Business, or GMB, is the most unique channel for our organics postings. It isn't quite social media but it can benefit tremendously from some of the same principles and postings.

First launched back in 2016 to add more substance to the Google My Business platform, posting allows you to share valuable information with your audience front and center without having to enter a bidding war for ad space. Active posting on Google is a powerful way to promote your business in interesting new ways.

There are four main types of GMB Postings (when you do not count the newest "COVID Update" option) these options are What's New, Events, Offers and Product. For our purposes, the What's New is the most important as we can share everything from links to service pages to call now buttons and more!

What Is GMB?

Google My Business, also known as GMB, is another way for our client companies to gain some “real estate” in local searches. GMB can also serve as a powerful, free advertising tool with the potential to funnel customers to your website and store by using functions like postings, images and replying to reviews.

Another crucial thing to remember is that GMB is not Facebook or Linked In so the post may need to be different and that is okay. Here are some quick tips:

Use high-res images with logos and appropriate file names
Keep it short, sweet, and to the point
Optimize your call to action (CTA), use the correct button and link to a meaningful page
Keep it professional, polished, follow all Circle Social posting rules.
Don't forget the NAP (Name, Address, Phone) for each post.
